Capcom Busts Out Some Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Shots

Sadly, Ruby Tuesday is nowhere to be found.

The official Capcom blog, Capcom-Unity, has decided to spare folks without a Game Informer subscription (you should get one, for real) from having to stare at terrible digital scans and watch the same old debut footage over and over again for its latest fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. The blog recently posted a hefty amount of images for your viewing pleasure that were, at one point, the mag's exclusive.

In the Unity post, game producer Niitsuma did a image-by-image commentary, adding little bits of information that, for the most part, tie into its "moving comic" stylistic direction. The line that sticks out for me deals with a paper shredding effect that Wolverine has. Niitsuma notes that "the tearing of paper are commonplace in the game" since comic books are, you know, made out of paper.

These images don't reveal anything substantial--there are no unannounced characters or exceedingly ridiculous moves displayed, and hell, even the HUD has been removed. But you might be able to glean why Capcom opted to use MT Framework as opposed to Street Fighter IV's engine.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is still slated to hit in Spring 2011 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. It also looks pretty.
