Duke Nukem Forever Demo Drops June 3 (If You Pre-Order)

I hate exclusive pre-order demo things like this. 

HEY BRO, GO AHEAD AND FRONT SOME CASH FOR OUR GAME AND WE'LL THEN LET YOU WHO IS ALREADY SOLD ON SAID GAME TRY IT, AND NOT THE PEOPLE WHO AREN'T SOLD.

Granted, the demo will probably be public afterward, but still.

it's really sad how people are so excited for such an overtly sexist game. duke nukem 3d was sexist but the degree of difference between the two titles is staggering. at least duke 3d was toned down aside from the occasional stripper, it was more about shooting aliens. this game seems entirely devoted to enforcing hateful ideas about women in lieu of actual creativity or good gameplay/plot ideas. i can't believe that in this day and age gearbox finds it acceptable to create a game that is so patently offensive towards women and seems so proud of themselves about it. i've completely lost any respect for them and won't be purchasing any of their products. neither should any of you.

Stop pre-ordering games just for the demos, and they will stop doing this. Problem solved.

I'm so fucking sick of demo's being used as rewards or bonuses for preordering. I'm going to torrent the demo once it hits the PC on the 3rd, otherwise there's no way I'm buying this game without trying it first.

One good thing about games like this, is that they test the credibility of the website that is reviewing them. If they give it perfect or near perfect scores, and/or praise it for things that any other game would be ripped apart for, then you know they are full of crap.

@Stonepawfox-I agree completely. Even as a guy, I found every single trailer that was released for this game to be completely insulting to my intelligence. What I am worried about the most, however, is that if this game sells even remotely well, than other companies will come out with a bunch of similarly idiotic games. At some point we have to draw the line and implement some level of quality control. Bad games are a lot more dangerous to the industry than most people realize.  Hell! The video game industry damn near destroyed itself back in 1983, due in large part to a lack of quality control/titles. It could happen again.

Hope steam pre-purchases count as pre-orders too.  Would love to get an early taste of what could end up being one of my fav games this year.

Also for those that bought the original Borderlands on PC off Steam (not sure if it was preorder only) should also have access to the demo when it drops as well. To see if you have it, just right click on the game in Steam and check the CD keys. It should be listed there.Oh and preordering for a demo is fucking dumb.

What's the point of a demo if you have to pre-order the game to get it? A demo should convince you to buy it, this is more of an early bonus for already dedicated fans.

This game's either going to completely rock or be horrible and demeaning. Either way, I want in.

Um I don't get whats so bad about them doing this for first club access members only. You really don't need to buy the game. You can preorder it off of amazon and cancel it post demo. You don't have to actually buy it.

Secondly your complaining about something that could very well not have been done. Gearbox/2k could've just released no demo and release the game. How many games come out with demos pre-release? Not many so really all this complaining over an exclusive demo is really stupid. It's like complaining you weren't invited to a closed beta when you didn't apply to be in it.

What is the point of giving a demo to people who already pre-ordered the game?  So they can decided they don't like it and cancel their pre-order?

Demos are supposed to let you try a  game a decided if you want to buy it!

I'm just annoyed that the demo is coming to me after the original launch date, meaning even the damn demo got delayed on me haha

I pre-ordered, but why in the fuck would I want to play the demo? I'm going to have the ACTUAL GAME like ten days later, so that makes the demo pretty fucking god damn meaningless, innit?

So let me get this straight. 

So, does that mean the demo opens up for other people at a later date? Or is the demo purely for those that already purchased it? Because that's kind of defeating the purpose of a demo.

I wish I didn't preorder Duke Nukem: Forever at Shopto. I ended up using the code for The First Access Club, and now my preorder is locked.

And all I got was a damn demo.
