"Earth Is Burning" In Mass Effect 3

 Spotted this Mass Effect 3 listing on the EA Store (via Destructoid) this morning. The page has since been removed from EA's site.

Earth is burning. Striking from beyond known space, a race of terrifying machines have begun their destruction of the human race. As Commander Shepard, an Alliance Marine, your only hope for saving mankind is to rally the civilizations of the galaxy and launch one final mission to take back the Earth.

Isn't this the third time robots have tried to take over the universe in Mass Effect? I loved ME2 but this is kind of disappointing to me.

By the end of the story, it'll reveal to us all that we humans... are the real reapers! We destroyed our earth with pollution, crime and cartoon porn.

Earth huh? I want it to be a ghetto of a planet at this point, i think that would be cool. 
Either way, it'll be interesting to visit Earth within the ME fiction.

Also if Earth really is this boned, it definitely fits well with those few teaser images they shown of a derelict environment.

I thought it was a 3-part story arc of said robots trying to take over said galaxy. 

That said, I still need to finish 2 before I should actually say anything, but I've been told it's definitely a part 2-of-3 ending.

Damn Bioware for releasing Dragon Age in the holiday season, then Mass Effect 2 right after I finally started playing Dragon Age.. now neither of them are finished, and their game boxes taunt me.... while I play WoW.

Yeah!  They should throw out the trilogy's plot-line of trying to stop the Reapers completely and make the bad guys sentient mushrooms with laser whips.

I don't know if I like the Earth focus. ME's never been about saving the human race, it's been about the first real attempt at preservation of galactic civilization against the Reapers. Boo to human exceptionalism.
