Fez Coming to PCs on May 1

Fez seems like a natural fit on the Vita. That would be very cool!

He's doing a reddit AMA, and said that Linux is in the cards (especially now that they replaced XNA with monogame), but after a Mac version. As for the 3DS, he said it may not work well because Fez does isometric projections instead of perspective, so file it under "unlikely".

I can imagine that a lot of people will pirate it just out of spite.

Yeah I plan on finally picking it up but I'm going to wait to make sure it's bug free before I buy.

I actually agree with you, I can be petty. I just don't like supporting people I...well...don't like. Like f.e. Dave Perry, I will never support him, no matter what he does.

Just want to say though, that I'm also not the kinda guy who screams at everybody who is going to buy this game on Steam or gets angry if it pops up on the Steam charts. It seems to be a great game, so why not.

This is great. Going to buy this despite all the stupid shit Phil Fish has said in the past. Hoping it will be bug free, a little concerned due to the problems it had on 360.

Nice. Have it on XBLA, but looking forward to impulse buying this on a Steam sale so I have an excuse to play it again.

I don't like Phil Fish (fucking at all), but people should be able to play Fez on their platform of choice. I guess.

I don't remember much about it, but didn't the creator of Fez talk shit about how he intended the game to only be on consoles? I really don't want to give money to this guy, good thing I don't really care about the game.

I don't think anybody sees it as a bad thing, it is just kinda hilarious to see how he badmouthed the PC when the game launched and now comes crawling back cause he didn't made that much money on XBLA. (or so I've heard)

Perhaps sometimes it takes that kind of mind to create something like Fez.

After watching Indie Game: The Movie I feel for the guy, and am glad that it worked out for him. It is well known that the Super Meat Boy guys made a ton more money off Steam than off XBLA, hopefully Fish will have the same happen.

As a primarily PS3 user, I thought so too.

Unfortunately, now the aspect of discovering that "the game is so much more than you think it is" is somewhat diminished.

Fez is a spreadsheet.

I would hope it supports the controller, game seems ideal for it and I'd hate to punch in the codes via lame ass keyboard :S Entering the konami code, and seeing how it's mapped to buttons that actually make sense, would be tough to re-configure just for the keyboard.

Thank God, I won't have to turn on my Xbox again.

I'll be sure to never ever pay attention to anything he has said in the past or currently saying because I want to enjoy Fez for the first time on PC. Thanks for the warning.

Listen, I'm drawing to mind something Louis CK once said which was something to the effect of: people always seem to think everything you say must be some well measured, thought out thing that takes everyones opinions in mind.

I think people should be allowed to say and think ignorant stupid shit and not be reprimanded for changing their mind.

Did the Xbox version ever get fixed? I'd 'finished' the game when the save bug was found and never went back because of it.

But yeah, good for everyone who didn't get a chance to play it yet. PC may be better for map navigation.

Undiscovered secrets? Well fuck. Hopefully they aren't all suddenly discovered when the PC version comes out.

I must also stress that the experience of this game is the sense of discovery it creates. This is a game that you do not want to spoil with guides of any sort, because it will indeed tarnish your experience with the game.

Oh and while Phil Fish is an asshole, if his personality (which has no presence or reflection in Fez) is enough to ruin a game for you, you are far too sensitive and would probably live happier if you stopped playing video games. It's something that has been thoroughly discussed over the past year and needs no further dwelling-on.

@seanfoster: Next item on mine is the xbox version of Spelunky, Trials Evo finally is coming out for steam, now if Spelunky does, I will be very very happy.

Sounds like a great vita game. That exactly the kind of game I would like to play on that system. Hope it'll be released there.

That would be amazing. This is one of the few games I actually cared about on the 360 (I don't own one) so having it come to either PC or Vita would be amazing.
