Friday Bomb Drop

Up in the sky, it's this week's Bomb Drop. Learn which user snooped out the Giant Bomb Store before it launched.

Another big week for games as we saw the boards aflutter over a review week that saw the PS3 trying to take down the 360's Gears 2 swagger. Apparently there's some gaming to be done and despite a nasty trivia habit, you had some time to add some reviews of your own. On the news front we had a good chuckle at the ESRB's expense, learned some hard facts about load times on the upcoming New Xbox Experience, and learned the tricks of the trade behind sounding like Daft Punk whilst lounging in World of War lobbies. Did we miss anything? Let us know in the comments.

STEVE HOLT!

thanks for adding this, i would never have seen the 'stars within stars' forum and would not have spent the last 5 minutes laughing at the crudity of uncensored and partially censored star nakedness!!  glorious.

this is a nice feature snide :D

Would be nice to get this regularly as a 'best of the bomb' feature :) nice roundup !!!

This is why I love giant bomb, on most other sites that stars within stars post would have been completely dismissed as spam, but you guys see the humour and entertainment and embrace it and add it to the friday bomb drop.

Please don't change the review way. I like it. It's simple, and easy to understand.

Sad to see that Blinck's X-mas Big Daddy picture didn't make it into the Bomb Drop this week.  =  (

Snide, this may be the best idea I have seen on this site. Love how you spotlight the community.

famous now :)

Wow, awesome! Thanks for the pimpage. Stars within stars certainly wins this round though.

You guys should have stuck to your system, shouldn't have backed down.  Half stars is the wrong direction, if they want more information on the game they can read the damn review.  Putting a number on these sort of things is bad in the first place but at least with five stars you kept it simple, I respected you guys for being a little different like that and you seemed like something you guys actually cared about, clearly not.

Why don't we rename it to "The Friday Carpet-Bombing," since there is so much information being gathered?
