At first, I thought it was a Halo Kinect game judging from the footage of Master Chief flying through the ship. Didn't really expect 343 to be working on Halo 4, maybe a spin-off or something. I kind of liked where Halo 3 left off and opening that series up again with a potential to "ruin" it is kind of worrying. I hope it turns out good.

E3 has already made me happy with this announcement, and it's just getting started. Cannot wait.

a full other trilogy, I wonder if it will have the steam to last that long.

Thought we were done with Halo, I'm not looking forward to this at all. For a brief second I thought they'd announce something completely new and when I saw Master Chief I just turned off the stream.

Why are they doing this? It's just gonna be an overrated boring ass game.

Dumb. There's no reason to go back to Master Chief. There's plenty left in the Halo universe to explore. Why do the same shit that Bungie did for years?

I didn't like Halo Reach very much, so I wish I was at least discerning enough to not immediately get excited just for the fact that "hey, it's Master Chief and Unicron's little brother," but... I can't help it. TOTALLY excited for Master Chief and Unicron's little brother!

I'm afraid that without Bungie around to say "No", MS is just going to drive this series into the ground.

I do worry that everything seemed a sequel to a sequel - where were the new IPs?

Perhaps the big 3 are playing safe with their franchises but this is not the future ... it's just putting extra sparklies on the past.

Huh, an attack ship on fire, with what appears to be a glittering c-beam. Are they off the shoulder of Orion? Perhaps it is Tannhauser Gate after all.

I'm excited even though it's a known quantity. 

I love the Halo series. Got a lot of entertaining out of those games, both from the campaign and the multiplayer. If they keep the quality up, I'm definitely down for some more.

Not going to lie. This teaser absolutely worked on me. Interested to see what 343 Studios can do. Stoked for some Chief!!!!!

If it's a new trilogy call it something other than Halo 4.

They said that this is a trilogy for the Xbox 360.  So they have time to release 3 more Halo games before the next console cycle.  One a year?

More Halo is always welcome, mostly because they haven't quite sunk to the depths of annual carbon copy churnouts like a sports game or Call of Duty.
