Boy, I hope you guys don't go out of business, because I just extended my membership until September of 2014.

Dude, just buy one and redeem it on your own account. I bought a couple for random GBers (it's Christmas) and then bought two for myself, to extend my expiration until the end of 2014. I didn't really want the $15 gift credit for the store the last two times (I used the "give back to the community" option on the store), so this seems like a no-brainer, for me. Unless GB/WM goes out of business in the next 34 months. :D

Not a big deal, but this isn't really a "discount" if it doesn't come with the t-shirt or coupon. I guess it's nice for people who want to resubscribe, but that's about it.

True. It's not so much a discount as an option that should always be there. I don't want the shirts. I don't want anything from the store. I would rather just have the option to pay $35 all the time. That said, I'm glad there is this option from time to time and I understand why it isn't a permanent option (the $50 option with a $15 store credit keeps more money in their hands and brings more people to check out the store).

Now, if the store had a larger variety of cool shit, I might be happier with the $50 option. Or I'd just be more likely to wnat the $35 option and then buy stuff from the store, separately.

@Branthog: Well, I'm sure they'll do fine considering you are buying premium memberships like a mad-man. lol :P Also I agree with you on the discount and t-shirt, I'm one of those people. The main thing I wanted was access to the premium videos and the ability to use the GB video player instead of youtube. (Youtube apparently can't figure out what fullscreen means. :/ ) So I'm happy to lose all the extras if it means a cheaper price on premium membership.

Problem for me is I don't see anything that is premium about it. Not compared to what we already get for free and what other sites do or the fact that I just don't have all the time in the world to watch them play some weird PC game that I may not care about even if it is them playing. It's just a lesser product for a lesser price.

You removed a $15 value (the store coupon) and lowered the price $15 dollars. It's really a bit of a joke and quite misleading to call it a sale.

I don't get these complaints...

1: They worked their asses off creating this - working more hours than most of us - why are they not allowed to get something out of all this?

2: Giantbomb is about the most un-biased gaming site I have been on, and if that alone is not worth something to you - well by all means go over to Gamespot and IGN.

3: I got zero commercials on my screen when I visit GB (and all the other rad WM sites) - and that alone is worth the measly 35$ to me.

For $35 I was able to commit to it being that I no longer frequent GB like I used to; however it's the Holiday season and felt in a giving mood. If we do get a $15 coupon for this, i'll probably donate it to a charity.

So you've taken the $15 dollar coupon off and are charging for the membership aty the same price as before? Wouldn't call it a sale price IMO. Good if you don't need the coupon though.
