inFamous 2 Goes Vampiric With Festival of Blood Expansion

The recently acquired Sucker Punch seems to be taking a cue from Rockstar Games with inFamous 2: Festival of Blood, a vampire-themed expansion for this summer's open world adventure that explores the "darker" side of the inFamous universe.

News on Festival of Blood arrived at Sony's Gamescom press conference today. In the trailer, Cole was sporting some mean ol' fangs.

Rockstar Games pulled a similar stunt with Red Dead Redemption and the super great Undead Nightmare. If you haven't played Undead Nightmare, you've screwed up--it's terrific.

Festival of Blood arrives in October with "hours" of new gameplay.

I've barely played any original Red Dead, let alone Undead Nightmare.For some reason Rockstar open world games just never grab me...

I'm done with InFamous 2 i didn't really like it either so i'm not gonna be picking this up. 

It makes lots of sense! There are other people with powers like Cole who are... nocturnal and like to use Bio Leech? Except with blood? Ah, whatever, Undead Nightmare was awesome for RDR, so that's enough precedent for me to not dismiss strange-sounding DLC immediately.

Y'know the whole monster motif is what kinda put me off purchasing Infamous 2 in the first place, and the addition of vampires... I dunno. 
 
I miss the original game's uberdruggies an garbagemasters. 

I really loved how much Halloween themed content we got last year. Vampires make a nice change from zombie's too.

I gotta say that this sounds like a good idea for inFamous 2 seeing that the first didn't have much DLC at all which was a shame....

Vampires have gotten pretty lame as of late thanks to crap like Twilight. If this is more Bram Stoker and less Stephenie Meyer I'll check it out.

New Orleans has all sorts of vampiric history so this totally makes sense. If it is good I will buy it, I liked inFamous 2, but didn't love the story much...so more gameplay seems like it could be cool if it has a good mission structure

If there is an option to make cole's skin sparkley I will BUY A PLAYSTATION 3 BUY FOUR COPIES OF THE GAME AND DLC ON SEVEN DUMMY ACCOUNTS and post pictures of the whole affair.
That along with Twilight 4 in december would make me the happiest person.

Hope he doesn't turn into a Twilight vampire.

Okay, maybe there's some precedent for vampires in New Orleans, but I just would prefer zombies because I want some creepy voodoo shit to happen. Wasn't enough of that in the original game for my taste.

are there going to be any updates or new additions to the UGC with this DLC?

I'm still working on finishing my 2nd play through for platinum, and I would love some DLC. The UGC is great but fighting the same enemies over and over is getting a little old. This sounds interesting...

I really liked Infamous 2, but not the darker stuff. I also hate vampires, so... I guess I won't be supporting this time, Sucker Punch...

Well now I have an excuse to buy the collector's edition instead of renting it like I did last time...

Sounds ridiculous in a good way. But then again I was disappointed by Infamous 2.
