Infinity Ward Soliciting User Feedback Via Twitter Test

Call of Duty developer in search of your opinion on Modern Warfare 2 via Twitter.

Robert "fourzerotwo" Bowling tossed up a link to a new page on the Infinity Ward site devoted to user-responses to an IW-posed question. Billing it as a test, they're currently looking for things you'd like to see appear in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

So far, the thing that seems to keep scrolling through the results page is "co-op" but a lot of people are getting specific with desires for silencers on sniper rifles, 48-player support, and the return of Captain Price. It's kind of interesting to watch the demands flow throw in real-time, and you can vote individual comments up and down as they roll through.

Didn't play online much, although I enjoyed it when I did.  I would like to see silenced snipers, the removal of the kill cam for snipers, the return of Captain Price(with his awesome mustache of course) and bigger mulitiered maps with a larger player cap.

Yes, I would also like to turn Call of Duty online into a bigger campfest than it already is.

Yeah, but it's not 'Future Warfare 2'. Since it is Modern Warfare I'd like to see some angle on the asymmetrical warfare taking place right now in Afghanistan/Iraq/Chechnya/Sri Lanka etc.

The Battlefield 2 MOD 'Project Reality' has already proven successful in this respect and I'd love to see what IW could do in the same manner.

Also, make a hardcore mode that's really hardcore. No last stand nonsense. Perhaps some decent ballistics wouldn't go amiss either.

MORE MAP PACKS... THEY SKIMMED US ON THE LAST ONE... JUST ONE MAP PACK IS RIDICULOUS... SORRY TO COMPARE BUT THEY GOTTA DO IT LIKE HALO3 DOES... A COUPLE OF MAPS EVERY FEW OR SO MONTHS AND THEY'LL HAVE THE TOP XBL SPOT NO MATTER WHATS RELEASED....

This game is going to be amazing...

If they have 48 player support  the multiplayer will be the best ever.
 
If they make a long, but thrilling single player, then this could contend with Starcraft II for my Most anticipated game of 2009.... Infinity Ward owns either way.

I want to make sure that we can have open maps and mroe creek maps for snipeing and make sure that there is no cage match cause that destroys the perpose of chalges for blue tiger and red tiger and gold

Thanks for the heads up GhostStrykre  I will have to check that out.

I like msot of the ideas, customizable character is a good one.  But a few I have to vote down are:
Vehicles - NO
No cam - NO
Silent Snipers - NO
Large Multiplayer count - NO

They don't need vehicles and they ruin balance, spacing and pacing.  As for no cammed silenced snipers, ummm absolutely not, I already can't stand playing sabotage when i am the only player willing to pick up the bomb.  I like a contained player count too.  Huge numbers and you lose the rivalry/revenge factor, people begin to seem like bots, and you don't really see everyone anyway.  I will say they need to keep up the level design, its what made COD4, I cant stand Chinatown in there, shows how much better the new maps are.

I think it would be pretty cool to allow weapons 2 attachments, but make there be a lot of them. Also make it so you can have more than one Perk per slot, like 2 of each or something. Also, make Perks for kill streaks so you can choose what you're rewarded with.  Like if you wanted dogs or a helicopter after 7 kills. Just little things to make it extremely varied.

Also a Flamethrower attachment would be great.

Oh yea, SLIT SCREEN ONLINE!!!! I have real friends that come to my house and we're tired of taking turns and having to switch profiles each game... so annoying. Co-op too of course.

Wanting old-school keyboard/text-chat over voice-chat (hey, some of us can't hear!) is apparently a down-vote from the community. Community haet disabled. :(


Also not wanting to see the EXP bar when you aren't going to prestige/maxed level is apparently a down-vote. :(

But having a server browser/game finder like the PC version instead of shitty matchmaking with no choice of map(s)/gametype(s)/setting(s) you want is a good idea. I guess people are tired of the Halo 3/X-box Live matchmaking thing. Good to see some good come out of the community with my suggestions. :)
