It's Official: The NGP is the PlayStation Vita, and It Has a Price [UPDATED]

249$ is an excellent price.   Pretty much a day 1 buy from me.   I was expecting something near 400$.

Very, very competitive pricing. Looks like Nintendo might have to rethink their current plans. 

Lmao, the people complaining about the pricing, get a fucking job. This is insanely priced for the hardware packed inside it, and the name? Who the hell really cares in the end as long as its delivering what they say it will.

What does it take for these companies to realize that shit is WAAAAAAY to expensive?

About time they went with a reasonable price. Fuck that 2nd job shit that they dared saying back at the launch of the PS3.

For the hardware and capabilities being packed into the PS Vita, I have to say that I'm shocked to see the price is not only reasonable, but a downright steal. $249.99 is a fantastic price for this product, and I'm considering getting one so long as the software is up to snuff. 
 
I never thought I'd say I'm interested in another portable after getting burned by the PSP, but, goddamn Sony. Good job.

Before anyone goes apeshit over the feature set, remember that E3 hardware announcements are at least 50% bullshit. We'll see what features actually make it to market.

Perfect price. Gonna go pre-order that ASAP. Also I hope PSV catches on because I'm not a huge fan of PSVita. Maybe it'll grow on me, who knows.

You can play all the PSP games that you have downloaded from the store. Obviously you can't play UMDs.

They talked nothing about the PSP game remakes on PS3, but they instead went for cross-platform play. Tokyo game show is gonna fucking crazy this year.

Also Nintendo has got to be dropping the 3DS price now.

I figured it would have to around $250 to $300. If not then why bother when you can just get a PS3? also, if it's to be in the comfort of your own home for stuff. Why not get a ps3 to begin with?
