Killzone 3 Gold, Multiplayer Preorder Bonuses Detailed

First day.

Preorder exclusively bonus suck monkey balls. And Sony with Killzone have gone even further, the made it like RPG, where you need to choose (in real life) witch pack to get, to get right bonus for first 24h.

I say good on them for not gating content with preorders. I guess I can understand the complaint, but really, this won't make an appreciable difference after a week or two. The people who are hardcore and really like it will catch up in no time. The people who get discouraged by higher leveled players probably would have done so anyway, because they likely weren't playing on day one.

Am I the only one who is tired of timed releases, pre-order bonus, etc. I guess sometimes it pay off but for the most part it seems kinda silly.

I'll probably get a copy, but just the "standard version" and i'll just get it at my local gamestore. These retailer specific bonuses are just stupid and i wish marketing folks would stop doing them!

Say no to pre-order bonuses.  This madness has to stop.  Only game I pre-ordered in 2010 was DCUO so I could get in the Beta (and cancel my pre-order if the game sucked ;) ).

This doesn't add anything to the single player experience, so I'll probably pass.

I really liked the first Killzone even if its shooting controls were a little different than most games.  Hopefully Sony won't fuck the dog when it comes to marketing this one.  I remember showing my brother Killzone 2 and he asked me when it came out and when I told him "like a year and a half ago" he didn't believe me.

These preorder bonuses are getting stupid.  I bet that these companies even bid for the the best preorder bonuses so they get the most sales.  Pathetic.

I can 't believe Amazon doesn't have release-date shipping for this game!!! Looks like it's Best Buy for me...

 
Keep failing at KZ-MP?: Shoot from a staircase just below a main area (so you can peep over the top and shoot but they can't return fire and pinpoint your location in time) - best done in a killing field where a number of corridors open into a single avenue.  
 
Also KZ maps have more verticality than most FPSs (so avoid the lower corridors which just turn into abbatoirs if you have skilled players above) or beware of crossing the open spaces of the sniper-happy larger maps (especially with the tiny clip sizes and the incredibly slow speed that you move).
 
Time-limited MP bonuses are the worse kind - you're going to rubbish for the first few hours anyway. Much prefer a soundtrack to download or character costume.

I didn't like KZ for psp , Hated KZ2 . I will pass on this one and brainwash anyone who's interested in it >8)

Does anyone know if Amazon.co.uk is offering the same pre-order bonus. I really only care about the maps though.

I'm getting this on day one just to get away from Black Ops. I would use Bad Company 2 for this but since I ALWAYS seem to be a rank one when I play it I play it rarely. But this multiplayer looks pretty sick.

The Retro Map pack as a preorder bonus is the worst thing of all.  Are Rico and Sev still in it?  They are?  Ok, then fuck you.  I'm gonna play something else.

Only pre-ordering from Gamestop for the maps, probably not going to use the 24hr code.
