Phew, Descent WiiWare Still in Development...Wait, What?

Descent for me is an iconic title. It just sucks this is coming out on the Wii, as I'm not much of a Wii gamer. Mind you I don't have a problem if others want to play it.

Don't ask where/why I know this, but Volition has been wanting to do an updated Descent game for a long time. The designers out there have a deep love for the series. Unfortunately, the guys that sign the paychecks don't believe there's a market for a new Descent and would rather they use their talents rehashing Saint's Row and Red Faction over and over again.

Descent was decent.

This sounds so crazy.

If Descent uses the wiimote to control the ship movement and viewpoint, I think there'll be more than a few people hurling their lunch at their TV's, rather than their wiimotes.

I demand Patrick joins the NDX team permanently.

I loved Descent back in the day. It's going to look so sweet with up-rezed textures. Also, the game never made me nauseous.

Never much cared for Descent.

Man, between a Descent game and Wii price drops... I could almost be tempted by this.

ohh what rly!?  Damn I remember playing the original.
It didnt make me wanna puke but I did find it very disorientaining.  I musta spent hrs playing that first level and then nearly having a heart attack when youve killed the boss and you think its all over but then the alarms start and the whole building shakes as you desperately look for the exit tunnel :P

Man I played a crapload of Descent in middle school, I have fond memories of it. I'd like to try this new one, see what they do with it.

I remember having a copy of Descent 3. I was pretty young at the time, and pretty confused as to what I should be doing

The only things I remember from Descent are tunnels and feeling sick.

Are they going to make it less nausea inducing? I hope so. I hope that's the reason for the delay. I remember how motion sick this game used to make me. Nothing made me more sick, though, than Wolfenstein 3D

I was 14 when Descent came out. We played it on school computers(We just got new computers). Never had any stomach problems.

Finally a title i might buy from wiiware

Personally, I liked the Virtual Boy version. I lost my vision, but games couldn't have gotten any better then that anyway, right?

I'd play a remake of Descent. Damn fun game.

I have the OpenGL port of Descent 2 on my computer as we speak. I was able to play it off the disk (DOS Box is the coolest thing ever), but couldn't resist high resolution.

I really, really like patrick and i think he is the best thing that has happend to giantbomb in a long while. 

I bought all the Descents at a thrift store in mint condition a few months back. Still haven't played them yet.

Descent on the 3DS might be the game that actually gives me motion sickness.
