Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One Nabs a Release Date

Co-op comes to the Ratchet & Clank franchise this October.

No Caption Provided

I'm a sucker for Insomniac Games' Ratchet & Clank. The franchise should have run out of steam by now, but Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time was pretty fantastic--and a good puzzler.

It's a little unclear how much fun Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One will be solo, but whether with one person or several, the release date cometh: the next Ratchet & Clank drops on October 18.

The news was announced today on the PlayStation Blog. Like Resistance 3, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One will have both 3D functionality. If you have a 3DTV, anyway. Lucky dog.

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One marks the first project from Insomniac Games' North Carolina studio. Every other game from the company has previously been developed out in California.

At least PSN should be locked, loaded, and ready to go by October!

At last.

I enjoyed the series to an extent back on the PS2; once I finally get a PS3, I'll likely try out the newer entries.

Love me some Ratchet and Clank, so I'm hoping this has some great single player as well as multiplayer.

Not looking forward to this. I love the Ratchet and Clank series but this isn't a proper entry but a money grabbing tie-in.

This game is still an enigma to me. I absolutely love the Ratchet and clank series, except Deadlock, but it's still unclear to me where this game sits. Is it purely a co up? Does it tie to any of the previous games? I would prefer insomniac giving this series a rest but it's their game and I am sure they are not going to ruin this one.

I was under the impression this was a downloadable title.

Seems an odd choice to have it as retail. Doesn't strike me as a 'proper' entry in the series.

Can't see it selling well.

I would prefer a proper Ratchet and Clank game. From what I have heard single player in this will be wonky.

This is great. My brother used to only play Ratchet and Clank when we had a PS2 and I bet he is still fond of the series. I'll probably pick this up and play with him. Btw he's 22 and I'm 19 lol. It may look like Ratchet and Ckank is for kids but man these games are fun for all ages and I'm amazed at how Fresh this series still is after all these years.

I really like that theyre trying something new but from all fo the videos this doesnt look like the right direction at all. I lovelovelove R&C and i'll definately get it because I'm pretty certain the writing and  visuals will be consistently brilliant. I just really don't want to have to play ratchet games with other people to get the most enjoyment out of them.

This is shaping up to be the year I dust off the PS3 and actually play something on it again.  Resistance 3 is a maybe, but Ratchet and Clank is always defaulted to yes!

reminds of the approach sony Move heroes or whatever that name was that came out recently. I think Sony wants to peg this section of the market that likes light platformer action titles with good production value. I like what I have seen so far of this game, hopefully is quality.

Ugh. Another game I need to buy coming within the span of 2 months. My wallet is going to be in agony later this year.

I've been really disappointed in the direction Insomniac have been taking R&C with the PS3 games. I found the Future series to have some interesting gameplay elements, but they felt unusually short and linear, and the writing wasn't nearly as good as in the PS2 titles. I'm not so sure this game is what the series needs.
