Danny Bilson, we hardly knew ye. THQ has just announced Bilson, who headed its "core" games division, is leaving the company, and has appointed industry veteran Jason Rubin as president of THQ.
Yep, that Jason Rubin.
Rubin co-founded Naughty Dog and was there when the studio created Crash Bandicoot, Jak & Daxter, and the studio’s most revered but surprisingly forgotten Way of the Warrior.
“The recent transformation of THQ into a creator of wholly-owned IP has placed it in a perfect position to leverage future trends in the game business,” said Rubin in the press release.
That’s...pretty crazy.
