Badlands is a side scrolling game for various platforms. Initially a showpiece for the Ipad, the game, in its initial form, was an auto runner where players simply tapped on the screen to cause Cloney, the player's bird, to flap and avoid obstacles. True to his name, Cloney can clone himself and touching certain powerups will cause him to multiply into a group of Cloney's. This is benefitial to the payer as this means they have more room for error, the game continues as long as the player always has one cloney on screen at a time. An updated "Game of the Year edition" was brought to various consoles and computer platforms in 2015. The new version is largely the same although the controls have been updated to allow players more direct control over Cloney. as a result all of the levels were re-tweaked to address this change.
