    Overview

    The Bandai RX-78 (also known as RX-78 Gundam) was a personal computer released in Japan by Bandai Electronics in 1983. It was primarily marketed as a gaming device, with 20 pure gaming titles and 4 edutainment games, as well as a number of non-gaming application cartridges. The RX-78's physical media was delivered on both cartridge and cassette.

    The RX-78 is obviously named after the RX-78 Gundam, and in fact most of the marketing materials, including box art, states the machine's name as "Personal Computer RX-78 Gundam".
