    Looks like batman

How can someone give this game a half-star? It looks good, the mechanics are there, also exceptional scenes in the game....

Essentially, Batman: Arkham Asylum plays out like a masochistic fantasy, which is morbid considering that it takes place in Arkham Asylum. Perhaps the actual art/beauty of this game, is how much it makes you feel like a slave, while actually sort of being a slave half the time.

What I mean by this, is while playing the game, you are faced with the same 4 monsters the entire time. Also, you are faced with the same 4 scenarios, and oddly, the same 4 phases in a boss battle. The upgrades and devices make you feel less like a badass, and I almost never felt like a batman himself (prepare to die a lot), because of the game's heavy dependence upon rhythm-based gameplay. That's right! Batman: Arkham Rythm Asylum Heaven.

Things I liked: Graphics, great cut-scenes, servicable (exceptional in parts, sans ending) narrative.

Things I disliked: Endlessly (and I mean endlessly) repetitive gameplay, in which each area is the same sequence, and each fight sequence is the same,... the same monsters. While there are certainly things to like about the game, the peppering of various aweful aspects to the drudgery that is Arkham Asylum make it impossible to reccomend to anyone.

When I said I was playing a certain part of the game to a friend, they expressed to me that it was the same exact part in which they wanted to throw the controller up against the wall. I know I felt like that most of the time while playing, which makes it even more strange, I mean, what if my friend caught me at a time when I was playing a different part of the game that was frustrating too (there are so many moments to chose). Wouldn't my friend express the same sentiment again, even though it was a different part of the game? This is the same friend that said the game was awesome, why? Because it has batman in it, and it looks ok. Might as well be the second coming...

      Batman: Arkham Asylum Review 0

This is the best Batman game ever made. This is perhaps the best comic-based game ever made. It's probably also the best stealth-action game this year. So, what makes this such a great game?It makes you think like Batman. It's that simple. You have to think like Batman in order to survive. There are three aspects to Batman: Arkham Asylum. The brawler, where you're dropped into a room of unarmed goons and have to knock them all out. The predator, where you're dropped into a room of armed goons a...

Inmates aren't the only ones crazy for Batman: Arkham Asylum 0

Simple and satisfying martial art combat, stealthy take-downs,  bat shaped gadgetry, and detective intelligence gathering are all delivered so well in Batman: Arkham Asylum that you will leave this game with no less than a wonderful taste in your mouth. How that taste got there is due to the interesting character interaction between Batman, his allies, and the villains that fans and newcomers alike will find intriguing, humorous, and authentic.  The bottom line is this game is really fun and you...
