"Batman: Arkham Asylum gets out with a score of 8.7 - it really is a great game, and the things that prevent it from scoring more are related not to the quality of the game itself, which is top notch, but to the aspects that to me should make a part of a true Batman experience and adaptation and are missing from this title."

This game is good but people exaggerating. Combat system is very good, gadgets very good, atmosphere is very good for a Batman game. The best part is the fact that the game gives you the feeling of being Batman. And this feeling is amazing ! Now let's talk about the bad sides :- Boss fights are lame.- A terrible finale.- It's a monotonous game.Despite everything, this game is a good game, and definitely worth playing....
It's hard to believe this game is more than ten years old. Prior to Arkham Asylum, the best superhero game on the market was Spiderman 2, and the best Batman game was probably the movie adaption of Batman Begins, and that's not a very high mark to beat. Arkham Asylum didn't just raise the bar for superhero games, it raised the bar for beat 'em up action games in general, and introduced a free form combat system that would be duplicated for years to come.Even if you aren't a dyed in the wool Batm...
