Finished the game this weekend and went snooping on Wikipedia to read up on random stuff about the game and dicovered something very shocking...

Nolan North is The Penguin?! Really?

I know he's everywhere, but I always assumed he played the same sort of character as Nathan Drake whenever he did a voice. This was a startling revelation and was just wondering if anyone else was completely thrown by this or am I just easily impressed?

He also voices some of the thugs in the game as well, his Penguin is awesome though I would go as far to say it is one of the best portrayals of the character.

I knew that he was in it but I just thought he was two face or a bunch of the thugs. When I found that out I was pretty something

He also did Seymour in Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time, Dr Tomoki from Ape Escape and Crash's Dr N. Gin. Nolan North has range, it's just producers wanting him as Drake.

Pretty much what Ghostiet said. After he just used his normal voice for Drake and it was so popular people now just want him to be Drake all the time. Similar to how Seth MacFarlane uses his normal voice for Bryan but also does Stewie, Quagmire, and Peter. North was a voice actor long before Drake so he can do impressive work when he's allowed.

It is kinda sad that most people will just lumber him with the generic-Drake role when he obviously has a great deal of talent in him.

I have gained a new found respect Mr. North this day.

Nolan North also apparently plays every third henchmen in the game because they all sound the same.

Edit: I'm sick and tired of Nolan North calling Batman a chicken.

The dude's amazing. If you've played nazi zombies then you can attest to his amazing work as Dr.Richtofen.

The Penguin voice is actually his normal voice.

I would have guessed that the "Northie" for this year would go to Nolan for his penguin work but I forgot Uncharted 3 is coming out too.

Yeah, its too bad that in most of the stuff I have heard him in he only really does his real voice. It was awesome to realize he was The Penguin!

One of the first things Penguin says to Bruce is "do I have to call your butler?" I immediately thought, oh shit, how great would it be if Nolan North's Penguin and Michael Caine's Alfred had a conversation.
