Battlefield 1942, the first in the acclaimed Battlefield franchise, pits Axis versus Allies in large-scale multiplayer battles.

Objects

Aircraft Carrier

The largest weapon in modern militrary arsenals. Use missiles, rockets and deck guns as defense weapons and can carry hundreds of combat ready planes and bombers as well as thousands of combat ready Marines. They are known as "Cities at Sea".
Airplane

An airplane is a heavier-than-air craft whose lift is generated by airflow over the wings creating a strong pressure difference. In video games, airplanes are used for travel and as a type of weaponry.
Ammo

Many games have ammo. In some, you can design your own. Ammo is put in a weapon and fired as a projectile.
Anti-Aircraft Gun

An emplacement gun used to shoot down enemy aircraft.
Anti-Personnel Mine

An anti-personnel mine is a type of mine specifically made to use against humans.
Anti-Tank Mine

An anti-tank mine is a special mine made specifically to destroy tanks or war vehicles.
Armored Personnel Carrier

The APC lends protection from small-arms fire to infantry units in transit. An element of 20th and 21st century warfare, it is often depicted in futuristic settings.
Assault Rifle

Assault Rifle refers to a basic design of a weapon that combines the abilities of older long-range rifles and the rapid fire of sub-machine guns. Common designs include the M-16, M-4, AK47 (and 74), and the L85A1.
Battle Dress Uniform

Garments worn by Military or Para-Military organizations for combat related situations. These garments range from the Marines heavy duty Camouflaged battle dress they use in the Middle East to the SWAT uniforms our police departments use such as the DEA or U.S. Marshalls.
Bayonet

Long special made dagger for use on the end of assault weapons or rifles in case of shift from ranged combat to CQC.
Binoculars

Portable device for enhanced distance viewing.
Boat

A watercraft designed to travel on top of bodies of water. A favored tool of pirates and criminals.
Bomb

A bomb is an explosive device.
FG-42

An automatic rifle produced in Nazi Germany during World War II. It uses a combination of light machine gun and assault rifle characteristics.
First Aid Kit

The First Aid Kit works exactly like bandages, except they restore health quicker
Flags

Whether it's a regular piece of colored fabric or the high-tech keystone of a base's defenses, the flag is the most important asset a team can have and the most precious thing the opposing team can steal. It is also used for racing games.
Grenade

A grenade is an explosive device traditionally thrown by hand, but may also be propelled by a rifle or launcher.
Gun

Considered one of the most frequent and controversial implements of destruction in video games and real life, guns are devices that fire projectiles with explosive force.
Halftrack

A transport vehicle with wheels in the front for steering and treads on the back. This allows for a combination of the off-road abilities of a tank and the handling of a car.
Hazard Symbol

Hazard symbols are easily recognizable symbols designed to warn about hazardous materials or locations.
Health Pack

Health packs restore some amount of a players health, and can be permanent or temporary. They come packaged in a variety of forms, from the common med kit, to drugs, medicine, and even food.
Helmet

Whether it's worn for protection or style, helmets appear in various game genres.
Jeep

A Jeep is usually a 4x4 vehicle equipped with a mounted machine gun, it is best used as a transport vehicle.
Ka-Bar

A U.S. Marine Corps knife. Was introduced by Union Cutlery Company to Marines in 1943.
Karabiner 98

The main infantry rifle of the German Wehrmacht forces during the second World War.
Kubelwagen

Designed by Ferdinand Porsche and built by Volkswagen, the Kubelwagen was Germany's jeep.
LCVP

The LCVP (short for Landing Craft, Vehicle Personnel) was a landing boat used by the Allies in WWII for amphibious assaults.
Lee-Enfield

The "Short Magazine Lee-Enfield," or simply the Lee-Enfield rifle was the British Army's standard rifle from its official adoption in 1895 until 1957. It will often be the primary armament of British and Commonwealth soldiers in WWII themed games.
M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle

Found in WWII themed games, the BAR usually gives the Allied player or side some much-needed mobile, automatic firepower.
M4 Sherman

The M4 Sherman served as the primary tank of the United States', as well as the Western Allies during World War II.
