@Rebirth1337: Skyrim on PC is Direct 9 I believe. So I wouldn't expect anything crazy.

A 460 is considered on par with a 6850? Or are these just suggestions of different DX11 cards?

I appear to be in the recommended range even with my 460.

Well. I am pretty much at the recommended spec - slightly above, got a GTX 470 and 6GB of RAM. I wonder to what quality at Full HD I get.

Looks like the day of DX9 support is over. Good for me that i'm getting a new card with DX11 soon.

Man I am in range for recommanded, untill now I played only Bad Company 2 on my X360, but i think it's time to see my PC at it's best!

yay, I am in the minimum specs, will be able to play at least. still want to upgrade and see it in all its glory

Jacking the bank in order to pay for the PC to run it would be considerably worse.

I already suspected this, but now I'm really sad my graphics card went kaput a few weeks back and I had to revert back to my ATI 4850... :(
But hopefully I'll be able to buy a new one until the end of the year.

my future rig (Ivy Bridge & GTX 580) will max this out just fine

The recommended specs are spot on for my machine, even the graphics card is spot on. I guess that means I can run it at medium or something?

Of course it's fake. It's a multiplatform game (even though PC is lead platform) which still has to support the consoles, so there's no fucking way it'll require DX10 hardware (but it will likely support DX10 and DX11 GPUs - they've already talked about tessellation).

I'm totally surprised. Can't believe they're so damn low, they really optimized the hell out of it. Ah, saw what @Ahmad_Metallic posted just now. That explains it. I reckon a 580 will be required for ultra and such.

@kingzetta: I don't have to put anything in my computer. I just click download on Steam and BOOM!! it's down in 30 minutes.

That is very true, but then I would be stuck with a gimped version of the actual game. Of course if that's all you got, then that's all you got and roll with it. I guess we can all find out how well it runs when they do the open beta in September, so hopefully I'll have upgraded by then.

One of the very first things DICE stated was that the game has no DX9 support (hence dropping winXP) ... So no, those specs are fake not because they're too high, but because they're too low DICE surely are gonna create a DX9 version on consoles and a DX10 min/DX11 rec for PC

How did they do a console version if it is DX10/11.

What's with the 5 GB difference between the physical and digital versions.

Apparently the PS3 version is on the showfloor according to some outlets. I'm really curious to see how it performs on consoles. Glad I'm exceeding recommended speccs though, so either way, I'm golden.
