I was thinking of picking this game up for real cheap but I would really want to play it online but I'm not sure if its worth it to pick it up if no one is still playing besides the expansion.  So any of you guys stil playing and does it seem pretty healthy?

PS: I was thinking of getting the 360 version.

Well there are still a lot of people playing the regular BC2 on Pc anyway,  but i would guess that there would be some people there as well.

I was playing Vanilla BC2 last night with full servers (on 360). Jump in, BC2 is easily the best shooter on consoles.

I own the 360 version and I have yet to pick up the expansion, though I am really tempted and probably will soon, and I get games just as fast and just as full as I ever did before the expansion came out.

Yeah the servers are usually packed. I normally have to wait on queue with especially many rush map servers.

Yup, a lot of people are playing Vietnam and vanilla bc2.

Most of the BC2 enthusiasts are playing Vietnam right now, so the normal BC2 servers might be easier to learn on.

I finally updated mine after I got Vietnam. I wanted to play the original because I spent over 200 hours playing that one (I have the Xbox and PS3 version). I got in last night and played it from about 5 until midnight non-stop. I have a three day holiday this weekend. I have a feeling that I am going to spend a lot of time getting back into BC2.

This is definitely a game that people are still playing. Get it!

Why do people call it Vanilla BC2?

And yea, but after playing Vietnam, it feels weird playing regular or "vanilla" BC2.

@Bloodgraiv3:  there are enough people playing on PS3, but i find it really depends on the map. Many people play the new mappack 7 maps and favorites like Arrica Harbor; other maps still get played you just end up with less people in your team and the opposite team.

Because calling it regular BC2 makes it sound like there's something abnormal about Vietnam?

I finally convinced a bunch of my BlOps friends to pick this up as a change of pace and they are so happy. We all bought Vietnam, but are still only playing Vanilla.

Yeah, still playing. Vietnam's great and all, but sometimes you find yourself longing for a rifle whose receiver isn't rusted to shit. Also I'm gay for t-90s. Can you be gay for a tank? Who knows!
