Hey so my b net account got hacked and was wondering what the best thing i can do is. I already sent them off an email regarding the situation. Is there anything i can do, I'm really concerned, i looked at my WoW character and all of his stuff minus his my awesome lumberjack shirt and the kirin tor tabard were gone, perhaps deleted. But the odd thing is, is that i have now max in mining and alot of new achievements, which is weird. But i'm also really worried about how they might delete my Starcraft 2 campaign progress. Is there anything I can do.
Battle.net
Concept »
Launched by Blizzard in 1997, this service provides a solid online foundation to Blizzard's franchises such as the Diablo, StarCraft and WarCraft series. As a constantly evolving service, a new version, Battle.net 2.0, was released in 2010 with the release of Starcraft 2.
My Battle.net account got hacked.
Be really careful about clicking links you see. Lots of phishing attempts for Battle.net accounts lately, I've received 3 in the last week and before that I have NEVER received a single phishing attempt in my 14 years on the net.
Basically it's official looking emails telling you something or other which directs you to an official looking website through official looking links but the URL is actually different. Usually these scams ask you to then log in, and then BAM they have your login and password.
Even as a person who doesn't play PC games, I can appreciate that that's terrible. I hope they sort it out for you. :)
Yup, don't ever click on URL's in e-mails, if Blizzard contacted you, there is a way on your Account Management screen, go their manually. I too would recommend an Authenticator, either the one they sell or the iPhone/Android mobile one. Works on Ipod Touch too.
You could also try calling but Blizzard has had terrible wait times when I called, over an hour long but if you haven't received an e-mail back from them, you might want to just make the call so they can lock the account and investigate what was done to your account.
" Wow thanks guys:) That may seem sarcastic but I am truly sincere. "No problem. I had my Halo 2 account hacked back when I was playing a lot of MLG in high school. That's not near as bad as getting a Battle.net account hacked but they did delevel my account pretty significantly. An authenticator would be a good purchase and help ensure that it doesn't happen again.
Sounds rough all right. Put it this way, at least you're a little wiser then before now. Hope it works out for you.
Authenticator's the best $7 you're gonna spend on that game. In lieu of that, make your password better - random caps, number substitutions for letters like in leet speak, misspellings, lots of characters, make sure it's not the same pass for anything else, etc. Throwing enough of that together makes it ridiculously hard to be either guessed or brute force cracked.

"Ya I'm actually on the blizzard store right now getting one:)
