Battlestations: Pacific Review
If you’re a history buff, particularly World War II, then this is a title that you’ve been waiting for. If you also love watching 360 then this might be your biggest release of the year. After putting in over 30 hours into the game I wasn’t disappointed. Doing a torpedo run on an enemy carrier was one of the more exhilarating things I’ve ever done in a Videogame. Dive Bombing the Japanese battleship Yamoto was something I always wanted to try, and this game allows me to do it.
This game is not everyone’s cup of tea. If you’re the Halo and Call of Duty type of gamers, which is most – you should stay clear of this one. This game is not really a pickup and play type game. You have to be willing to put in a lot of time and have plenty of patients to get anything out of it. For older gamers this is a nice escape from the mindless shooters that haven’t done anything new in years. If you like naval history, particularly World War II, then you need to pick this title up.
