Bear Dream is an interactive augmented reality mobile application used to interact with a given set of educational flash cards featuring animals and vehicles ~ both real and imagined.
It is developed by Miracle Network 99 (Chen QiFu) and is available for both Android and iOS platforms.
Release
The application was first released on May 14, 2015 at the Apple Store in Chinese. The English version was released two months later on July 11, 2015.
Bear Dream was first release at Google Play on June 7, 2015 in Chinese while the English release was on December 5, 2015.
Gameplay
Real life cards are an essential part of the application's game play. The mobile application while free to download needs an activation card distributed along with authorized card sets. Each activation card is usable for 5 devices at a time.
Using the camera of one's mobile device, the Bear Dream application takes advantage of Augmented Reality (AR) technology by scanning the image (depicting either an animal or a vehicle) on the cards and renders an animated 3D model on the screen of one's mobile device.
Upon rendering the image, a voice will say the name of the animal or vehicle rendered in the current selected language (7 total, English or Chinese by default). The rendered model is interactive and will animate upon pressing it again (e.g. the tank will fire, the seal will juggle the ball with its nose, etc.)
