Getting started

The Bear Dream application is free to download but the cards sets used to play the application are paid. These sets include an activation card which is scanned so that the player gets access all features of the mobile game.

One of these card set is the Philippine-released Magic 3D Educational Cards by Geek and Nerds.

Set-up

The Bear Dream app is downloadable at Google Play and the Apple App Store. The mobile application is represented by a logo featuring a beige colored bear with the letters "AR" at the logo's top portion.

Alternatively, a QR Scanner application maybe used to scan the QR Code placed on the compatible card set's box or the card with the QR Code other than the Activation Card. Upon a successful scan, one's device will be directed to a fir.im short link url where one can download the Bear Dream application.

Activation

Start the Bear Dream application normally and tap the "Start" button. Scan any of the colored cards and you will be prompted to scan the QR Code on the activation card. A notification will inform you of a successful activation. Each activation card can be used for five devices at a time. For use by more than five people, buy new card sets or share a device with multiple people.

How to Play

After activating the Bear Dream app, the cards can now be scanned. For better gameplay, it must be ensured that the cards are not tampered with or is well lit.

Upon a successful scan an in-game voice will pronounce the name of the scanned card's subject (either an animal or a vehicle) in the currently selected language. The available languages in the English version are Arabic, Spanish, Russian, Korean, French, Chinese and English. The language may be changed through the language button found at the button left portion of the screen.

Cards

The game requires "Little Bear Dreams", a card set specifically designed for the application. In the Philippines, a card set is packaged as "Magic 3D Educational Cards" under the Geek & Nerds brand has about 50 cards.

The cards are grouped into four smaller sets, each with their own color. The illustrations of the animals and vehicles are by the original developer.

Languages

The application is released both in English and Chinese. Audio for at least the English version contains a total of seven languages; the other six languages are: Arabic, Spanish, Russian, Korean, French, and Chinese.

Others

The title screen of the Bear Dream application features an Easter egg. By tapping one of the four cards at the bottom left portion of the title screen, the subject of the card will be rendered on top of the cards.

Even without activating the application 3D models of four selected cards may be viewed against a white background at the "Browse" section which is accessible through the Browse button at the title screen. The 3D models featured in the part of the game are "Fire Engine, Airplane, Tiger, Eagle, and Dragon".
