borderlands 2 review
I have been playing this game for a few days now and have racked up many many hours. I could say that I am addicted. I have been playing it with a fellow classmate, Stephen Hogger, he and I are possibly a third of the way through the game at the moment and plan to replay it once we have finished.
The game is a first person shooter RPG that takes place on a fictional planet called Pandora. You take the roll of a vault hunter, one of four characters who are searching for a mystical vault hidden in the depths of the planet. You follow their adventures across Pandora as you face multiple enemies, none of which compare to the evil mastermind Handsome Jack. He is the head of the Hyperion Corporation and is also set on finding the vault for his own evil purposes.
I chose to play as Axton, the soldier, he has the ability to spawn a turret that draws the enemies attention so that you can flank them or just to help you out in a fire fight.
The game is very smooth and I am yet to run into any bugs or errors. The art style is very similar to the original game's cell shaded look. The environments in the game are beautiful; they range from vast frozen wastes to wildlife preserves and deserts, all of which are visually stunning.
I believe that I will be playing this game for a long time as the gameplay is incredibly enthralling and I plan to play the game through as all of the characters. It gets better, there is already 6 months of confirmed DLC and the £20 season pass grants you access to them all for free.
