I don't have the DLC yet, but can you cheat the level-scaling system? I heard Jeff Gerstmann talking about Mad Moxxi, and getting S-Ranks and what not. He said that he would hook up a second controller and have a lower level character just be there with his level 50 character to bring down the enemies levels. Any tips?

Borderlands is a first-person shooter RPG from Gearbox Software that puts players into the shoes of one of four playable characters as they traverse the hostile planet of Pandora in search of a mysterious "Vault," said to contain priceless unknown riches and alien technologies.
Any way to make Mad Moxxi easier?
" Does anyone know if the enemies cap at 50?? That is, if you go in with a level 61 character, will it be easier or are the enemies near level 61 as well?? "If you go in with a level 61 characters, the enemies will be level 60 or so, so no there is no limit to how much they will level up to you. Honestly I didn't feel the DLC was that hard except when you come upon a round with a very bad combinations. It's just very very long.
" @spazmaster666: You mean like higher melee damage against a wave of guardians? "I mean like having a round with an effect like vampirism combined with no shields.
Have a lvl 1-7 character host your split screen game. Make sure your character is lvl 50 or above. The final rounds of the Larger Tournys are actually tough even when they are only around lvl 6-10 and you're lvl 50. The small tournys take about an hour each (There are 3), the Large Tournys take about 3 hours each (3 also). It's not worth it unless you want to S rank the entire game.
" @gla55jAw: 'Tis why I'm asking. "Oh sorry, I must have read it too fast and missed that. Yeah Just do what I said then. I just got my S rank, It was much harder to get the General Knoxx achievements. As long as you do the split screen stuff, you'll be fine. Just make sure You dedicate time, because there are no checkpoints.
To revive a dead topic, if you do the split-screen deal, you're just letting the weak character die constantly, end up in the "penalty box" and going from there, correct? You don't have to worry about keeping that dude alive at all?

"pretty much thats the only way. Its such a drag trying to get those last 3 arenas...
I have that game 1500/1500 and other than the Moxxi stuff, it was alot of fun
