On July 20, 2006, while enjoying his Birthday, Brad Shoemaker was demoing Ultimate Ghost & Goblins for the PSP on a internet show known as On The Spot. With his co-workers, cold-blooded and heartless, show no symphony; just disappointment and scolding.
After witnessing the failure that is Brad Shoemaker's demoing skills, Justin Calvert was about ready to demo his game, and said these words to wish himself luck, "I hope I don't, pull a Brad."
Since then, those faithful words have haunted Brad Shoemaker to this day. . . .

The Origins of Pulling A Brad
I remember that day like it was yesterday... Final Fantasy potions and schwag giveaways
*sniffle*... look how far we've come.
" I remember that day like it was yesterday... Final Fantasy potions and schwag giveaways *sniffle*... look how far we've come. "I was gonna post a link to the July 20, 2006 episode of On The Spot, but for some reason, the video doesn't work. =(
For a minute I thought this was referring to " Pulling a Bradbury". The Aussie GiantBombers will know what I'm talking about. Sorry guys, I'm getting a little sleepy.
" Wow I didn't know it went that far back. I remember the good days of On The Spot, they've brought it back... but it isn't as great... of course they're missing Jeff, Ryan and Brad so yeah. Was Vinny ever on On The Spot? "I think On the Spot was done once Rich left.
It just wasn't the same afterward.
Everybody pulls a brad at some point. Recently......
-"Hey guys come and check out this awesome thing I just found. Ah shit I died. Gimme a minute. Wait, I'll get back there in a minute. Ah not again!"
-"You called me over here for that? You fucking suck at this game."
-"I just did it a second ago."
-"Call me when you get better."
-"I can do this just watch."
-"No you can't, we've got stuff to do Dad. Later."
-"Shit."
So when Brad does it, it makes me feel better about myself, and I love him for that.

I agree 100%.
" @Chuggsy said:Don't we all?" Insightful, and inspiring. "I one day aspire to pull a Brad of my own. "
There was an 'On the spot' where they were showcasing Ninja Gaiden Sigma ,the PS3 port of the xbox classic (and boy,is it ever). They wanted to showcase the first boss fight in the end of the show- Murai, that is. For whatever strange reason, Bradley was given the task and I remember him trying to blaze through like an Idiot, never blocking and he ended up being massacared by the pair of white ninjas and then he was grinning around saying things like "The game is so hard", "Murai is impossible to kill" (Anyone who's played the game for more than half and hour will tell you that It isn't like what he said). Using the game's somewhat notorious reputation to cover his lack of skill and Ricardo Torres (or was it Ryan mcDonald?) was like.." Nevermind, let's just wrap this up."
Brad is the Larry david of gaming.
