Brian "BMAN" Babendererde began his video game career in 1991 at ICOM Simulations, Inc. as an artist and designer. After Viacom New Media's acquisition of ICOM, Babendererde moved to the role of lead artist and designer for several projects, including the critically acclaimed Beavis and Butt-head in Virtual Stupidity. In 1997 as his latest project was entering development, Viacom disposed of its interactive games businesses. Babendererde, along with many other former Viacom New Media developers, formed Valkyrie Studios, Inc. where he took the role of Vice President of Game Design. Valkyrie Studios was only able to ship one game, Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator, before its closure in March 2001. Since then, Babendererde has freelanced for video games and comics as an artist, designer, and writer.
