    Game » consists of 10 releases. Released May 10, 2011

    A multiplayer-focused, class-based first-person shooter running on id Tech 4, in which oppressive soldiers and anarchistic terrorists battle for the few remaining resources on a failed paradise known as the Ark.

    BRINK releasing a week early. (May 10th instead of May 17th.)

    Dammit i'll be out of the country so now instead of not being able to play it for 4 days I will not be able to play it for 11 days! Ah well nice to see something being released early for a change...*cough* Duke *cough* Nukem.

    After all the delays, I'm not sure if you can call it a week early. However, as I'm interested to see what Brink can bring to the FPS table, I'm glad they won't have to go head-to-head with LA Noire. From the few gameplay vids they might be on to something neat and deserve some decent coverage.

    Edit: a few people have said that they're buying it and that the game is receiving hype .. i genuinely thought it fell off everyone's radar hard.
    Hey, nobody wants a game to fail, so im all for it getting sales :)  not interested myself

    Shows how much I've been paying attention. I had no idea it was coming out this early.


    I was actually hoping it would be out later in the year so I'll get it later, hopefully when the price drops.

    Glanced though it and lots of people seem excited for it. As for Agent 47 *he is the only one I really saw slamming on it)and his stuff...meh. He sort of seems like another user who likes to just make a fuss.

    Man, you are insane.  BF3 will not flop, it will not have Mirror's Edge style platforming and BRINK will be a good game in its own right.  PM me and tell me what indications you see in BF3's tiny video snippets so far  - no need to hijack this thread.

    No, and I'm "freaking buying it". It's also been getting a lot of hype on the forums, so I see no reason for Ahmad to run in here like an asshole.

    Anyway, like others have said, they seem to just be dodging the other major releases of that day, which makes good business sense to me.

    We didn't.  He took a landing shot in the second vid as 'evidence' of ME style freerunning in BF3.  He just made that shit up and then got excited about it.

    Why would you take one thread off of the thousands on giantbomb and use that to construe the sales figures for the entire game?

    Also, that thread is dumb. Crysis 2's freerunning thing was featured much less heavily than Brink's seem to be, and pointing towards "OH SHIT BF3" is terrible logic in any sales arguments because many games have proved (Borderlands comes to mind, in between Dragon Age and CoD) that gamers will buy shit regardless of release date. More comparisons to DNF seem weird (especially considering DNF is most likely going to be a trainwreck given its dev history), and his fanboyism of Crysis 2 (which looks completely different from Brink)
