Overview
Bust-A-Move Bash! (known in Europe as Bust-A-Move) is a tile-matching puzzle game developed by Happy Happening and published for the Wii in North America (by Majesco on April 17, 2007) and Europe (by 505 Games on May 11, 2007).
Part of Taito's Bust-A-Move puzzle series, Bash! features two types of motion-based controls for controlling the player's pointer:
- "Gun" style, where players point their Wii Remote to an area of the screen and the pointer "points" to it. This is the game's default control scheme, and an optional "Easy" setting shows the cursor itself.
- "Baton" style, where players hold their Wii Remote upright and tilt the angle to directly control the pointer, flicking down to swap the stored .
The "Gun" style is also used for the game's unique target-based mini-game (where players pop balloons moving along the screen).
In addition, the game features eight-player simultaneous multiplayer (one of the few games for the system to do so), where four players use Wii Remotes and the remaining players use controller attachments (such as the Nunchuk for "Baton"-style motion control or the Classic Controller for traditional controls). Unlike other multiplayer modes on the series, all players share the same playfield.
It is one of the few games in the franchise to not be released in Japan, as a planned Japanese version was cancelled.
