Bullet Point Review: Call of Duty 3 (PS3)
What I liked:
The Rain? - Hey I gotta like something in the game. Right?
What I didn't like:
Graphics - I had to check what system I was playing this game on because the graphics in CoD3 look no better than what the Xbox 1 was able to pull off.
A.I. - If you were being shot at, or a big explosion went off near you, would you react? I ask this because the friendlies and enemies in this game sometimes don't. They'll just stand there like nothing happened. Maybe what they say about war making you go numb is actually true?
Jeep - I have to keep telling myself that the jeep segments in CoD3 were a last minute idea...because I refuse to believe that anyone actually planned ahead for those. They are just plain bad.
Acting - The voice acting in this game is absolutely horrible.
Sixaxis - You can use the Sixaxis PS3 controller to drive the jeep, which is a complete pain in the ass, and you can flick the controller to knock off the lids from boxes and crates. I know. Try to contain your excitement.
Summary: I gotta be honest here, I had heard alot of people bad mouthing CoD3 in all the different podcasts I listen to. I thought that they were simply pissed off at CoD3 being yet another World War 2 game. Turns out they had a right to be pissed off.
The fact that CoD3 is set in WW2 doesn't bother me in the least. I love WW2 FPS's if their done well. What does bother me is the total lack of quality in this game, it's a complete waste of time. If you've ever played any other WW2 game, CoD3 offers nothing new. You're not missing out on anything here if you pass this bye.
All in all I give CoD3 (PS3) a 2.5 out of 5.
