Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Review. 1

Black Ops 2 is an infuriating game, one that isn't the fresh exciting advancement to the franchise the advertisements would have you believe. It's certainly not a bad game, but for every smart and sensible change the folks at Treyarch made, they go and spoil it all by having dialogue which is at times laughable and over the top set pieces which fail to thrill, no matter how many explosions are on screen at once. The Call of Duty games have split people into two camps, those who hate it and those ...

Its a good new addition to the series and for once they have actually changed it 0

www.youtube.com/24lolmasterCampaignIts always nice to see another addition to the COD (call of duty) franchise, lots of people are complaining and hating on the series- including me. about how the game never change, the last time the engine was updated was Call Of Duty: modern warfare 2 (2009). and there have been no differences since.the infinity ward games are all about how Russians & terroristsModern warfare: US vs Russia.Modern Warfare 2: Terrorists cause a war: US vs Russia.Modern warfa...

Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Review: The Future is Black 0

Like it or not, Call of Duty is the most influential series in the modern era of gaming largely thanks to the revolutionary Call of Duty 4 taking the series out of its WW2 trappings and into a completely different and fresh setting. The series is a polarising one, with millions of fans as well as plenty who hate it for its formulaic structure, and this has become more obvious in recent iterations of the COD games. While I have always enjoyed the series I found Modern Warfare 3 in particular to b...

    BRILLIANT 0

even though the new call of duty is out this one still brings hours of fun although ghosts does have better graphics as it is new.there is so much to do in multiplayer: get guns gold, get guns diamond, get all calling cards (including the one where you have to reset everything-best at 1st prestige-) 5 stars definitely BUY this game as it is money well spent for a £15 game...

Treyarch leaps into the Future 0

Black Ops II is comprised of three major components, which are easily displayed on the back of the box: Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies. Choices two and three are considered the main attraction for players, but the game's Campaign does some great things that move the series forward in terms of interactive storytelling. With over $500 million big ones made off of this title so far, Black Ops II is ready to once again set new Call of Duty records, but the question that remains is if it is worth...

Call of Duty: Black Ops II 0

There are plenty of legitimate criticisms and negative opinions that can be leveled at the Call of Duty franchise, but for my entertainment there is still no other series making this kind of game with this kind of quality. The fluid shooting mechanics are my favorite in gaming, it's one of the best-looking console games this year, it's super polished, and it's a fun ride. The campaign adds a few new twists with player choice, and they mostly work (though I did end up passing on the boring side mi...

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Review 2

The annual release of yet another Call of Duty game has arrived once again, smashing sales records and deriving us from our social lives to beat our buddies to the level cap in multiplayer. And that’s all there is to it. The formulaic sequence of events that has happened every year since Modern Warfare is now what defines not just the series, but its fan base following as well.We wake up at midnight to get our copy of the game, stay up all night playing online, call off work, and press reset wh...

Rinse & Repeat But Still A Treat 0

A Call of Duty release is always a monumental event in gaming, and this one is no different. Lately, the questions have been 'When will Call of Duty sputter out?' 'Is this one the last hurrah?'. This one looked like the next leap forward for the series, in both gameplay and aesthetics. Let's get on with answering those questions and finding out if this is indeed a step forward for Activision. The campaign has a large assortment of gameplay styles, settings & missions.I don't think I need to e...

Dramatic changes offset any sign of diminishing returns 0

Ever since the groundbreaking success of 2007’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Activision’s flagship franchise has maintained a familiar formula for prosperity, selling gangbusters year after year despite a lack of substantial iteration. Going from Infinity Ward to Treyarch, its annual release cycle has relied on an expansive multiplayer suite and a campaign geared towards linear paths and constant, bombastic set pieces. The Call of Duty series is the archetypal blockbuster video game, but its ...

    Surprisingly Good 0

It wasn't that long ago where Treyarch was the "bad" developer of Call of Duty titles. CoD 3 and World at War are now distant memories as Treyarch has hit something special with the Black Ops series. The first title has grown on me over the years and is now my favorite of the CoD titles, eclipsing the first Modern Warfare title. Treyarch has continued their usual technical prowess (they do great fires and explosions) and improving the storytelling appreciably. Better engine development would be ...

An awesome game has an even more awesome sequel 0

I was happy I pre-ordered this one going on in. After the original Black Ops, I was expecting much more with everyone else, so this is the exciting result we get. The graphics look amazing by 2012 standards. The acting is superb. Even the theme song and soundtrack are awesome, including the orchestral mix composed by Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor. In fact, there's a non-canon post-credits scene unlocked by completing the game, depicting two of the characters performing at a concert with ...

    Holy Freakin' Hell! 0

Black Ops II is easily my favorite Call of Duty of all time. While early iterations were excellent and brought something new and fresh to the industry, more recent releases felt rather uninspired and stagnant. Everything about them felt the same. Same engine, same action, same environments, same formula in pretty much every way. And, on top of that, a lot of the ludicrousness didn't really have that "fuck yeah" effect on me. I'm enlisting in the Marine Corps. While I can appreciate some crazy act...

Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Review 0

Call of Duty Blacks Ops 2 is a first person shooter developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. Black Ops 2 is the sequel to 2010’s smash hit Call of Duty: Black Ops. Blacks Ops 2 is the first game in the Call of Duty series to feature futuristic warfare technology and branching story paths. Does the new futuristic warfare technology and branching story paths provide enough to re-invigorate the stale modern military shooter genre? ...
