Modern Warfare 2:Good,but not Apple pie Good.

If you were expecting Call of Duty 4 with new weapons and maps, you were wrong, and so was I.MW2 is a whole new battlefield and experience. It's that same great first person view that we all know and love.Interesting story, beautiful maps, and those oh so fun Search and Destroy games in  the multiplayer. But something is missing and no it's not Waldo.(I fucking hate that book.)

The campaign is short and sweet.Lets face it,you know you got it for the online experience and so did the rest of the world;which is why the length of the campaign  was not such a bad problem. The campaign offered great intense moments like any other  shoot em up' game should. It had the right feel to it and not to mention the sweet ass graphics.HD is a must for this game!I couldn't help but  feel that Infinity Ward wanted to star me in a movie where all I can do is kick ass or die. Some moments I was saying to myself "What bullshit!.That would never happen." Yet,those were the moments that were the most exciting and fun to play. The campaign is fun and even better if you play Call of Duty 4 right before it.It has an interesting story and semi-interesting sub plots.Bottom line, its fun to play!

The multilayer is what everybody couldn't wait to get there newby little paws on.But again,if you were expecting COD4 then you were dead wrong.MW2s online is very different from the past Call of Dutys.New killstreaks, perks, guns and maps, all that good stuff is still there, just improved. But the minor tweaks made to it,in a way, made it feel a little "un-Call of Duty like." For  Instance, being able to steal enemy killstreaks through airdrop crates that you didn't earn.Or driving a chopper into the spawn of the enemy. That may sound fun (ok,its's very fun) but it takes away from that old Call of Duty feel, which maybe IW might have been going for.Nevertheless,MW2 has a very fun and decent multilplayer. The maps are great, the guns are great and the new equipment feature demolishes grenade spam.ONCE AND FOR ALL.Prestige mode is still there and so are challenges.Infact, prestige mode brings more challenges. From getting the game winning kill with a throwing knife to sticking an enemy with a semtex (sticky grenade.)The challenges are fun and will have you up all night trying to get the very last one.The Multiplayer is great and will be around for a very long time.At least until the next Modern Warfare installment is released.Modern Warfare 2 is a great game but it was missing something. It's still very fun but it ain't no apple pie.

Entertaining singleplayer, addictive multiplayer & co-op to boot! 0

Modern Warfare 2 takes place five years after the events of of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Despite your best efforts, the ultra-nationalist have wrangled control of Russia proclaiming Zakhaev, everyone's favourite one-armed bad guy, as a national hero and political martyr. As in previous Call of Duty games, you step inside the body of several distinct characters over the course of  the campaign's five to seven hours of gameplay. Though entertaining, the story itself twist and turns so radica...

      Even more Modern Warfare-r 0

Coming into Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, I had a high set of expectations, primarily set by Infinity Ward's previous game; Call of Duty 4. CoD4 came completely out of left field for me, revitalising my interest in what I believed to be a tired, played-out franchise; the change of setting, compelling campaign, and addictive multiplayer making it one of my top 5 games of 2007. Riding in on this wave of euphoria and excitement Modern Warfare 2 had a lot to live up to.   The campaign follows a si...
