Real men drive Accords.@wolf_blitzer85: Dudebros like Civics? That's a pity, Civics are great cars.
How many times are people going to say dudebro? Do u really think its funny or clever when there is 30 other post's before yours that already said it? Not to mention people saying for years now about the cod series. At this point when I read anything about the COD series I just skip any posts with that in it because you know the kind of people they are.
On topic, I've seen some ads on TV but not to many. I think at this point they don't need to advertise as much because people who are interested in it know when it is coming out and since they know the pre-orders are already higher than any of the last games why waste money advertising.
Trust me, they all know. I wouldn't be surprised to see it nearly double BF3's sales first week. Unfortunately.
The fuss is silent because it's such a known quantity and there is nothing more to talk about, except maybe potential bugs/glitches, hacking, and imbalances once the fresh hit of bro is made available.

It probably has something to do with the fact that CoD has the most horrible fucking genetic cesspool of a community wHo TyPe LiEk DiS and spew racial and homophobic slurs as frequently as they spew spit when they die in Team Deathmatch.
I find it odd that you use the fact that Battlefield sold more copies than all other Battlefields combined but don't mention Call of Duty's previous sell numbers. I mean, when every COD game has sold a shit ton of copies day one/week one for about 4 straight games, how much ad money do you need to spend? MW3 could only advertise in a Russian gay porn mag and people would still be all over that game day one.
I haven't seen a single television ad for MW3 - I live in California. If I didn't frequent game sites and didn't know that these COD games come out the same time every year I would not know that the release is a week away - not everyone who plays COD is a part of a gaming forum.
The game doesn't need million dollar ad campaigns though. It'll still smash BF3's sales through word of mouth.

Anything with a large fan base has this. It is not one certain group of people, it is the fact that the COD community is huge. I have heard racial and homophobic slurs on lots of MP games, BF, GOW, NBA2K, Madden, ect.... thats just the way it is.
And the fact that people on here put people into the dudebro category for playing COD is just as dumb as the people on COD being racist, that was my point.
those filthy, jockey dudebros can have their Callof Duty and their madden. Their loss that they will never experience the trials tribulations and emotional satisfaction that come out of playing a nice, well-rounded rpg. i'm so alone
I heard Poland has no sidewalks so I'm not surprised there's no MW3 ads. CoD will double BF3 sales without a doubt even with a smaller advertising budget and everyone knows this. So instead of "making a fuss" I'll just play the BF3 multiplayer, get MW3 and see what happens to Soap and Price then go back to play BF3 when it's all said and done.

Oh fuck you. There are 20 million people who play Call of Duty. Are you seriously lumping EVERYONE in with the stereotypical fratboy who shoved you into lockers?
Grow up.
I had neither fratboys nor lockers at any of the educational establishments I went to I'll have you know, son. And I think you need to return to one as you seemingly cannot read a single sentence correctly. Where in what I wrote did I say that everyone who buys the game is a fratboy? Where did I even say fratboy? What the fuck is a fratboy?
Fratboy is the exact same thing as a "dudebro." My guess is that a dudebro is no longer in college.
See, here's the thing, you and a whole bunch of other people like to type on the Internet about how the only people who play Call of Duty are retards and potheads, and it's not true. It's not even CLOSE to true. I don't understand why you people get off on trying to put down an entire userbase of gamers to... what, exactly? Make yourself feel better about your purchasing decisions? If you don't like Call of Duty, that's more than an adequate reason to say it's not for you. However, posting on a message board about how every "dudebro" knows it's coming is stupid. You know you used that as pejorative, I know you used it as such. It's as over-used as the world "troll" is to describe anyone with a dissenting opinion. If you're going to insult 20 million people, I'd suggest finding some original material at least. Comparing people who play Call of Duty to Juggalos is fucking offensive.
there aint been much ads tbh, I was chating about this to my mate the other day, but ye the cod/fifa bum boys always know, they have a sense for this kinda crap implanted into their minds
Everyone who bought Battlefield knows what MW3 is, I bet there is a significant portion of people who buy COD every year that have no idea Battlefield exists. I think COD sales will destroy BF3 regardless of marketing
@Galiant said:
I don't see why it matters which sells more? Is it a contest? I didn't know when it was coming out. I just assumed it'd be soon after BF3 since to me they seem to be competing for the same crowd.
EA thinks it is a contest... one that they will probably lose, I love Battlefield, but it's gonna be hard to beat a game with the words "Modern Warfare" on it.
If I'm not a Dudebro but I'm still excited about MW3, does that now make me a Dudebro?
I own BF3! I preordered Skyrim! I rage-cry during Dark Souls! This keeps me outta Dudebro status, right?
Right?!

You still need to learn how to fucking read you imbecile.
Drop a word like "dudebro" and then gets confused at the term "fratboy." We should be asking YOU what the fuck a "dudebro" is. Also there is a difference between knowing how to read and interpreting things differently. You typed one sentence that could be interpreted a number of ways, most of them bad and offensive. Don't get mad at people taking offense to offensive things you write on the internet.
i'm still so alone

Or for that matter, what "juggalos" are. And while I do happen to know the answer to that question, I have to believe that the terms "dudebro" and "juggalo" are far more esoteric than "fratboy," which is a word that even my mother would recognize.
1. CoD sucks.
2. Only college dudebros like it.
3. It has no vehicles, so it's obviously for noobs.
4. The graphix look like PS2.
(Am I doing it right?)
It's fun to ridicule and stereotype people who enjoy things that you dislike! You know what type of people liked Braid, don't you?
A typical Braid fan:
For the record, I LOVED Braid.
The people who buy every MW game have, at this point, established some psychic connection with Activision and each other. When one of them finds out it's coming out, they all find out.
