History
Inspired by the success of video games developed for their Sesame Street-themed amusement parks, Children's Computer Workshop (CCW) was created to bring similar experiences to home consoles. According to president Paul Firstenberg, these "discovery-oriented, non-violent" games would "encourage broad use of a child's intelligence."
CCW was created near the beginning of the 1980s game crash, and was dissolved by the end of the decade, reabsorbed to become just a division of Children's Television Workshop, now Sesame Workshop.
