These interviews work better when there is some footage to accompany the stuff that the interviewee is talking,

This makes me not want to play Civ IV anymore.
LiquidSon March 16, 2010 at 5:18 p.m.

Woot can't wait!!
Also Ryan never playing a proper Civ game doesn't surprise me=(
Kratauron March 16, 2010 at 5:24 p.m.
I'm disappointed in Ryan. :(

I'm not disappointed in where Civ V is heading, though. :D
masterherocardon March 16, 2010 at 5:31 p.m.

Shortest match i've had of a civ game was one that lasted a few days.
Foodon March 16, 2010 at 5:40 p.m.
So when he mentions panzer general is he saying that civ V will be a one unit per hex game or am I reading too far into it?  It would definitely be interesting if they got rid of unit stacks.

edit: I just looked into it, and yeah, no stacks.  this is a pretty huge change.  Can't wait to learn the details.

I don't really even feel like watching this. The giantbomb guys do great coverage for pretty much everything but this type of game.

Ryan is such a Bear.

@ThatFrood:  It's been said in other articles that it will be one unit per tile.
crusader8463on March 16, 2010 at 5:58 p.m.
@Food: Yes they have said that is how it is going to be now. No more stacking a million units on a tile and just storming over everything. Think Advance Wars.
DoctorWelchon March 16, 2010 at 5:59 p.m.
I played a decent amount of Civ IV against the computer and I never really understood the complexity of it. I would win most of the matches I played, but I never really understood what I was doing haha.

Jesus, that is mind blowing.

I wonder if units will have sizes instead of stacked formations. Like battalion size that can be upgraded to division or something. They can sort of represent health.
