    Only the female Combee can evolve into Vespiquen, they can be differentiated for the red spot on the forehead of the center face only appeared on females. 
     
    They commonly make their nest on hollow trees or caves.

    Female Combee evolve into a Vespiquen starting at level 21, males do not evolve. 
     
     

    Pokedex Entry

     
    Diamond: A Pokemon formed by three others. It busily carries sweet floral honey to Vespiquen. 
     
    Pearl: It collects and delivers honey to its colony. At night, they cluster to form a beehive and sleep. 
     
    Platinum: The trio is together from birth. It constantly gathers honey from flowers to please Vespiquen. 
     
    HeartGold/SoulSilver: At night, Combee sleeps in a group of about a thousand, packed closely together in a lump.
