An outstanding remake of a great game. 0

Back in the late 90's, when I first heard the tail... err, tale of a red squirrel (who looks orange to me) that would be caught into such mischief, I figured another kids game. One that I'd probably end up getting because Rare made it. Then I saw the first set of trailers for it on IGN. Boy, was I shocked. Blood galore. Violence at every corner. It was actually funny. Singing poop. And language that would make a sailor smile. This wasn't another Rare kid's game. I don't remember how, but I ende...

He May Have Reloaded But He's Shooting Blanks 0

Conker: Live and Reloaded is a remake of Conker’s Bad Fur Day originally released in 2001 back on the N64(Nintendo64).  After a disapproving shake of my father’s head any hopes of playing Bad Fur Day were dashed, now 2009 and 21 years old I figured I would take it for a spin and my reaction… a disapproving shake of the head. Conker: Live and Reloaded 0

Ok, before we start, go back several years ago. Remember that little black box that we all know and love? Yes! The N64! Well, Conker started his video game career on Nintendo's little 64-bit system, first appearing in "Diddy Kong Racing" and eventually he got his very own game. The game's title was appropriate, being named "Conker's Bad Fur Day", and it was one of the best-looking N64 games out at the time (although, it came out near the end of the system's life-span). It was almost a sort of "g...

Conker is very funny but some of the gameplay mechanics miss. 0

Conker: Live and Reloaded for the Xbox is the remake of Conker's Bad Fur Day for the N64. Most people might think it will a crappy import from Rare, but it turns out its not. Rare did bring back the same campaign from BFD but super-changed it. The graphics for one thing looks beautiful and stretches the Xbox's limits. From the character models to the liquid (dung, blood, water, etc.) shows Rare put alot of work on it. The story is exactly like the original but with some few changes like the joke...

Conker: Live and Reloaded 0

Conker: Live and Reloaded is a remake of the classic Nintendo 64 game Conker’s Bad Fur Day. Bad Fur Day came out towards the end of the N64’s life, right about the time Nintendo was starting up the Gamecube hype machine. So it would be understandable if you have never heard of the game. Not learning from their previous mistake, Rare released Live & Reloaded at a similar time in the Xbox’s life when everyone’s attention was on the Xbox 360. So once again it was overlooked by most, which is un...
