    Cotton Hill, better known as Colonel Hill is Hank's estranged and cranky father after his marriage with Tilly, Hank's mother got divorced and met this Candy Stripper Nurse volunteer Didi and then had a affair and became his second wife and gave birth to his other son Good Hank Hill, better known as G.H.

    Before giving birth to Hank, Cotton was a World War II veteran as he killed some soldiers and nazis 'Fifty or Fitty Men' due to his catchphrase and he met a Japanese Nurse Michiko as they both have an affair with each other and then gave birth to their first born Japanese-American son Junichiro as he became Hank's half brother in Returning Japanese.

    Cotton's family life is completely complex as he has a love/hate relationship with Hank, hates his daughter-in-law Peggy which he refers by calling her 'Hank's Wife' and then he loves and adores his grandson Bobby as both of them in common which comes to close resemblance to each other.
