Counter-strike has been, and probably always will be, one of the most popular online first-person shooters available (Phew, got that said). Now that I got that out of the way, I can talk about the game. For those who have never played Counter-strike before, it is a round-based shooter with emphasis on staying alive and teamwork. Counter strike: Source is the follow-up to the popular Counter-Strike 1.6 which was much graphically outdated thanks to it running on the HL1 Engine. Now CS has made its move to the Source engine and players can enjoy the added realistic physics and greatly done lighting. The same "run-and-gun" gameplay still resides with this game to give it it's signature flavor. Letdow, just old-CS with new graphics 1
Perhaps even more so that Half Life 2 itself, CS: Source was greatly anticipated by the online gaming community- from the pro clans right down to 12 year-old AOLers with a passion for dying repeatedly. But I digress. This was supposed to be The One- combining the fantastic concept and gameplay of Counterstrike with the physics, graphics and just plain coolness of the Source engine. Counter Strike: Source is perhaps the final addition to the cs series. From back in the day with dail up and cs 1.6 to today with css and t1 connection it has gone threw changes. Tho css is Counter Strike Source it has recently made an update to the ep1 engine. Valve has made it clear that they want more players. From source to ep1 is an addition.
