In the Creatures series of strategy games, the player hatches, feeds, raises, and breeds creatures called Norns. The series is notable for infusing each creature with its own unique set of DNA, making it possible for the player to breed and replicate various traits, and for its highly advanced AI which replicates real-life behavior among the in-game creatures.
