    I was wondering the same thing, do you just go to new game or does it only work if you go to chapter select?

    If you watch the Quicklook for the game, the 360 version allowed upgrades collected in the first play through to be carried forward into the next play through, on the PC version, as t was the first playthrough there were no such upgrade options. I got the impression that you would only be able to carry upgrades through after the first playthrough has been completed, maybe someone that has got a few upgrades try this out and let us know, I haven't played far enough into the game to get any upgrades yet.
