    the Call of Crysis

I rented Crysis 2 because the cryo-suit on the box caught my eye. Very cool design. It reminded me of call of duty as well but with better graphics. The trees gently blowing in the wind with detailed shadows actually detracted from the game because the landscape was very busy and hard to look for enemies. The tutorial/menu font was RIDICLOUSLY small and that frustrated me because there was important info that I needed to see. Also, the raspy optimus prime voice doesn't need to say "cloak engaged" or "shields engaged" every time. It is plain to see and the cheesy voice gets old fast. Crysis 2 has a spectacular look and feel, it's a decent FP Shooter and would benefit from more interesting surprises in the level design and a more inspired (less derivative) story line. If I had more time I would spend more than a few hours with it but it just wasn't fun enough to stick it out and see if it gets better. There are zillions of dark/violent urban combat games.... I'm looking for fresh ideas with more addictive gameplay.

      A real surprise. 0

The first time I played the first crysis was in 2009. I truly liked the game but I felt it was nothing special. It was essentially a tech demo of Crytek's cryengine. The gameplay was lacking and most of the time I would just stop and look at the graphics. It wasn't perfect but it was special in its own way. Because of this I never really considered buying Crysis 2 and I didn't. I was only able to play crysis 2 through borrowing my classmates copy in exchange for one of my games. I never expected...
