    Does anyone know if you can use a USB keyboard to chat on the PS3 version?

    yes, you can.  Some of the keys are also pre-binded to actions (ie.  pressing "i" outside of chat opens your inventory screen).

    yup i used my keyboard with my PS3 once, typed just fine

    I believe that SOE made it so you can also use the K/M setup to play the game.
