    Dead Space 2 is the sequel to the 2008 surprise hit Dead Space. The no-longer-silent Isaac Clarke finds himself trapped on a city-sized space station called the Sprawl, which has been overtaken by another Necromorph infestation.

    Is this part of the "If you want to buy your way to the best stats, why not?" initiative? Maybe it's like in their sports games, where if you want to play to unlock the best maxed character there is, they'll totally let you.

    Did a little more research and it MIGHT be the preorder bonuses you get access to by buying the game from a particular shop. So if you didn't buy it from there you can still get your special guns on. Although I'm still not entirely sure.

    They did a similar thing with the first game. I remember downloading the Elite suit basically made upgrading your suit pointless so you could just use nodes for weapons and stuff. Since the unlocks are 108kb, it's more than likely just content that people can buy to help them beat the game easier or something, kind of like how the Firepower pack for Mass Effect more or less broke the difficulty for that game.

    @mwng: NO. those three packages are not available from store in the game. I red DS 2 game guide book before buying the game. they are exclusive.  
    but you can get 4 different basic suits (including advance suit at chapter 11. you can also several additional suits after getting XP on MP mode.  MP max level is 60. when you get level 59, you get Vesceral games suit. there is another special suit which is only available for MP.  it's prima suit (game guide book as you know). how to get it? when you find primal employee during playing MP, when you kill him, then you get that suit. it looks very sophisticated. I like it.  
     
    oh, I forgot to tell you something. Dr. pepper DS 2 promotion will appear very soon.

    EA is all about paying for stats bullshit.  You can even buy hockey gear in the NHL games to boost your stats.

    Why would they give you the entire game for 60 dollars? 
     
    DUDE think about it, you play it all the way to the end and all you have to pay is like 2 dollars to finish the game!!

    What the hell do they care about that? What do they even have to be ashamed of? They know exactly what they're doing: offering what are effectively cheats to people who are willing to pay for them. 
     
    I'm not willing to pay for them, so I'm not going to. What's the problem here again? Which part of the Dead Space 2 experience am I missing by not buying a bunch of extra weapons? Why should I be outraged and crying about this on the Internet?
