Does anyone like it besides me? I've put about 2 hours into it and have had a bunch of fun. I'm at level 7 and haven't even started the campaign yet as I want to re-finish the original Dead Space first.  Nothing quite like swarming a dude with a few pack and watching him be torn apart.  It reminds me of the half-life mod natural selection except much slower paced. I doubt it'll have the staying power of say CoD but for a month or two this should be really fun.  I actually enjoy playing as the necromorphs more than the humans which really surprised me.  Although when you're playing on a human team that works together and tears through the necromorphs it's definitely fun as well.  If you're up for some MP feel free to add me on XBL, my gamertag: duberto. Just make sure you menton you're from GB.

What are your thoughts? Oh and sorry if this has already been discussed, I did a search and didn't find anything.

I think the multiplayer is fantastic although the servers have been iffy for me. But I agree that the necromorphs are a lot more fun to play as.

The five or so games I got into tonight had the humans not knowing what to do when it came to the objectives. Wether that is the game having poor explination or the inteligence of the average Xbox Live pleyer is up for debate. But it is a fun diversion from the dearth of CoD wannabes.

I'm level 13 and I'm really digging it.

The odd part: I really dislike Left 4 Dead's Multi.

The downside is that, on some levels, there's a glitch with escort objectives. Sometimes, after the person carrying the objective dies, the objective will disappear forever, rather than being dropped on the ground or carried over on respawn. This has happened twice, tonight, within the span of about 2 hours. It's really a shame. The humans will have no choice but to just wander around until the timer hits zero.

Had fun on TNT with it. Having some problems with connection stability though. Getting dropped from a game and not getting credit towards progression is really putting me off.

I am really tempted to re-get xbox live just to try it out (cancelled recently since I realized I barely ever play online games, just single player), but I have a feeling it's not going to have legs long term, since it seems like nothing but Call of Duty and Halo can manage a real community.

The lag kinda spoils it to be honest but I thought it was very atmospheric - you really need to work together to survive

I think the multiplayer has been really, really, really fun, so far.

I guess the question is how long will it last? Can it compete long term with Halo, CoD, KillZone, BF:BC2 or is it just a nice break from the core shooters?

Other than the objective glitch, the multiplayer is quite fun. I don't enjoy it as much as Call of Duty or Halo, but I'm enjoying it for now. However, it probably won't keep me around until Level 60.

@l4wd0g:  No, not at all. That's not the point though. It's clearly not the main draw, and sort of tacked in an attempt to extend the life of the game. It's surprising fun for what it is, but I don't think it ever had aspirations of being a multiplayer platform.
