    Rapper's Delight

In a nutshell; Def Jam Fight For NY is a hiphop fighting game. You can choose froms dozens of rappers and other celebrities to fight in various urban environments including a metro station, night clubs and fighting arenas.

Visually the game is very impressive. The rappers look exactly like their real-life counterparts and sound like them as well (due to the fact that every rapper did recording @ EA Big, check the videos). The environments look great but the crowds look something out of NHL 97.

The soundtrack is all hiphop, new and old. Sound effects are brilliant and the voice talent is superb.

The gameplay is fun, but if you're looking for hours of single player fun, this game can get repeative. It shows it's greatness in 2-4 multiplayer matches where it's one of the amusing games around. You can deliver standard punches and kicks, use baseball bats and pipes, get help from the crowd and pound your opponents head against a brick wall. The fighting is fun and pretty raw.

In Story mode you will create your own fighter and take him through New York's fighting underground circuit while facing off against rappers such as Ice-T, Xzibit, Fat Joe and Snoop Dogg and many others. You can customize your fighting style and finishing moves, get tattoos and haircuts and buy new clothing from many street brands like Enyce and Phat Farm.

This is a great fighting game. It's even better if you like hiphop. But if you love hiphop, this game is a must have.

I've been playing this game for a few years now. This game gets classified as a fighter/wrestling game. Now I don't know much about wrestling games, but as a fighter and multiplayer fighting game, Def Jam FFNY is one of my favorites. Why? Well, besides being able to unlock characters in the single player game, the story and solo play in this game is extremely solid for a fighting game. Your character you build during story mode is usable in multiplayer, and in solo mode, you have plenty of compe...
