hey everyone. 
 
I just wanted to know if people here are interested in organizing a GIant Bomb Demon's Souls tournament. If people are interested then just sigh here and we'll see where we go from here. It would also help if someone here has a capture card and it willing to make a nice footage of matches. So like I said before. Write your name here and I guess if enough people are willing to do it then we can all sit down and decide on rules and times.  
 
So it would seem the boards are filled with talker but not walkers. Few are willing to make it happen but not enough. Ohh well was a god try.

I don't see how this would work, exactly. It has its PVP but that's mostly there as an alternate means for getting your life back, or at the very least to grief someone. I know there's that red soul stone you can use specifically for PVP matchs but it loses what made the PVP so engaging and even a little worrying; what with you knowing you're going into a fight against a player.

Don't see how this could work at all...

This would be a major pain in the ass to organize, first everyone participating would have to be within a 10 level +/- range from each other, also given the game has no inviting feature the only way to do it is to arrange a certain place to drop a blue or red  stone so the other can pick it up before anyone else, also I don't even have the red eyed stone because I didn't went that route yet :P

Those of you saying this, are completely wrong. The game has quite a bit of organized PVP going on all the time..it's the whole reason they give you that stone that lets you challenge others.. "

Cool idea, but pass. I'm done with the game, i played it a metric shit ton, and i feel that was enough DS for me. I'm just waiting for Dark Souls, so i can get my ass handed to me yet again.

Given the way Demon's Souls multiplayer is structured, organizing a tournament would be difficult if not impossible. You can only invade another player if your soul levels are within some range (not sure what it is, but not big), and there is no guarantee you will be summoned into a particular game or your message will appear in anyone's game. I mean, it would be an interesting idea, but not practical to execute. If you can come up with a way to do it, I might be interested. 

This is my first post in the forum, and I've been wanting to join a Demon's Souls forum.
 
Well I've been reading the posts on this thread and I think it would be fun to have DS Tourny.  If any one is still interested I'd be glad to help host the tourny and record the fights if anybody wants me too
 
Here's what I was thinking as for the rules 

All participants must be lvl 120 and have a red eye stone to join toury btw I read a post that said you need to beat entire game to get red eye stone.  Well that is some what true, but Instead of beating the entire game to get red eye stone you can just dupe the stone.
 Rules:
- Each player gets 1 SC for all of his fights, or 6 wardings for all of his fights.
- Each player can grass up to 3 times in all of his fights.
- You can't heal between fights.
- You may cure status ailments between fights.
- There are no weapon restrictions other than the banned weapons
- You must specify what will your setup be before the battle starts, and you must keep the same setup throughout the whole event.

Banned stuff:
- Spells/Miracles: Hidden soul, banish, AMF, Acid Cloud, cloak, or anything else that causes stealth.
- Weapons: Scraping Spear, Morion Blade.
- Rings: Clever rat's ring, thief's ring.
- Glitches: Spell switching (or anything that leads to rfs) is banned
 
I hope by reading these rules it will change the mind of ppl that weren't sure if they would join this tourny
 
BTW there are lots of place that the tourney can be held. the best place i can think of is 1-3 were the prime evil demon spawns 
 
If any one wants to make a quick PVP build so that you can join the tourney I have a mule with all weapons

So no one wants to join the tourny? How about if theres a date to when the tourny will be held ? Will that make anyone wanna join. Yes? No? Maybe?
 
How about Saturday March 26th at 4pm central time???  
I was thinking "IF" anyone joins we can make this tounry a round robin tournament . 4 groups of 6 ppl which i doubt that many ppl will join.  If not the tourny can be a single elimination tournamnet

wow too bad I got to this thread way late.  Doing this is plenty doable as my youtube account shows.  Heck I ran three of them personally and assisted in so many I lost count.  You just have to have enough players, organized hosts who know what they are doing, and patient people because some waiting can be involved.  That said sure, if you are worried about getting your butt handed to you I wouldn't get into one.  The people that are involved in these things regularly literally spend hours doing nothing but thinking about vids and practicing weekly at the least.  I saw one of them kill False King once without taking a hit in fact, while playing a level 60 guy in melee on a NG+ cycle.  So yeah they are pretty good at it.
